Girls Wildcats Mini Soccer and Football every Saturday AM

Leighton United is one of the 200 Nationwide centres to be awarded SSE FA Wildcats Girls Football Club Status.
Following the success of the England Women's Team and This Girl Can programme inspiring girls nationally the English FA has launched its nationwide programme to double girls participation in football by 2020.
Our aim will be that this opportunity will be open to a diverse range of girls, from those just starting out to others who may play in a team – by holding our sessions on a Saturday, now that the season is drawing to a close we hope not to interfere with any club training sessions and won’t be looking as this as an alternative for those involved in grassroots football already – we hope that they come along and that it supplements their development and that it can gets lots of new girls and friends involved.
Matt Collins, our Wildcat Football Development Manager said, “We are delighted to have been asked to be one of the FAs chosen centres and are delighted to provide regular sessions every Saturday AM throughout the summer.” With Leighton United hosting free Saturday morning Wildcat Football Sessions supported by FA licensed coaches from now until September." Matt went on to explain (that) “ I hope that by involving other local Girls Clubs and their coaches in and around the area that whether it be at Leighton or elsewhere we are able to help girls be keen to play in the new season find a future environment that suits them.

Wildcat sessions are held every week, so come along and give it a go.
