LUFC to host the Beds FA Girls Football League Fair Play Tournament

19th and 20th May #forthegirlsforthefuture

“#forthegilrlsforthefuture” Matt Collins

We extend a warm welcome to over 70 girls teams across the weekend of the 19th and 20th May as we welcome near neighbours such as Leighton Corinthians and Town in u9 and U10 age groups to teams further a field such as Leicester City and Barnsley FC at U13.

I am delighted that such a number of teams have decided to join us this year and on behalf of the League and LUFC committee extend a very warm welcome to our visitors from around the country.

It is both encouraging and inspiring to see so many girls choosing to take up our national sport, no doubt in addition to other activities and it is with the support of you, the parents and carers that they are able to do so.

The league will continue to work hard to increase the opportunities for girls in football and in partnership with the FA, clubs and coaches to provide an environment for the girls to enjoy and develop a love of the game for the future.
