We are a young team of 14 ambitious players, supportive parents, and a coach passionate about grass roots football and playing the game the right way for long term improvements, experience and ability. Together we are forming into an effective playing unit where the core values of teamwork, dedication and excellence are brought together to create an environment where we can learn to play better individually and as a maturing team.
Building upon the central LUFC Football Coaching Philosophy we proactively seek to develop all our of players holistically, practically and sensibly in the following four key areas:
- Movement Skills - agility, balance, co-ordination, speed, stamina, strength etc
- Technical Skills - basic-to-advanced formations, precision passing, ball control
- Decision Making - situational awareness, speed of recognition, rapid assessment
- Skills for Life - co-operation, teamwork, communication, accountability and friendship
We play in the Chiltern Youth Football League on Sundays and have training on Wednesday evenings. As a collective group (of players, parents and coach) we help facilitate the activities of the team so players can enjoy the game and continue to love what they do. We also collectively work to provide mentoring and motivation for everyone in the team and work together towards agreed objectives and to face challenges as a cohesive organisation.
We all signed on to work hard, play hard and succeed together - win or lose...
