Sat Sept 24th v L Buzzard IV
In spite of the defeat, against another higher ranked team, everyone should be proud of their efforts on Saturday.
It was good to see Jodie score her first goal for the club.
"Player of the Match" Hope had a great game in goal & all the juniors are gaining in confidence.
Our heads only dropped when their players were undercutting the ball at us, which was far too often, in what was supposed to be a friendly game!!
This week, we have another 'friendly' - against Leighton Buzzard 4s at Van Dyke Upper School, LU7 3DY.
We are depleted by a school D of E day, so we only have 11 players at the moment.
Simone has asked the opposition if they have any spare players, who might like to 'sub' for us, but they have yet to reply.
In the meantime, I hope no-one goes sick or lame!!!
Please meet at 10.30 a.m. unless you are going direct.

GK Caroline Nicholson; Alison Adams; Pauline Woodthorpe; Karen Flintoff; Lorna Alcock (bringing gk kit); Jodie Deards; Pheobe Guinn (going direct??);
Vivika Turner; Rebecca Maynard; Alana Sullivan & Rowena Wehrmann.
Manager: Sarah Stevens; Umpire: L Buzzard are providing both.
Please bring NAVY BLUE/DARK socks, as they wear gold. Lorna will be bringing the green shirts.
There is no game next week, Oct 1st, and so our first league game will be on Oct 8th, at home to Tring 4s - 10.30 a.m. start.
On Oct 15th, the league match is away at Potters Bar - 3 p.m. start.
Anna & Judith sent out details of the Xmas Dinner last week - if you have not received them, please let us know.
A reminder that all subscriptions must be paid in full, or at least the 1st instalment of a s/o payment, by Oct 31st.
