Team News - Saturday 31st March, 2012
Hi everyone
We are still waiting to hear which school we are playing at this Saturday but as it is now Tuesday evening, I am sending you the information I have so far.
Most of you know by now that Saffron Walden are 2 points ahead of us, at the top of Div 6, & we need to win to take the "Championship Title" -they only need to draw.
We have consequently selected 14 players but, under the circumstances, we hope that you will understand if the 'bench players' do not get much pitch time. Those selected are as follows:
GK Charlie Warren (if fit); Caroline Nicholson; Judith Balsom; Anna Pollard; Ellie Georgiou; Katherine Lennard; Jane Wareing; Liz Small; Emily Tollafield; Alison Adams; Haidee Castle; Rachael Broom; Jodie Deards & Lorna Alcock (may have to play in goal, if Charlie isn't fit).
Umpire: Andy Lennard Reserves: Rebecca Maynard & Alana Sullivan
Saffron Walden play in gold socks & so you will need NAVY BLUE/BLACK SOCKS. I will bring shirts for Liz & Jane.
I need to take in ALL league shirts after the game - please don't let me forget!!
Please meet at 11.15 a.m. for a 1 p.m. start. Liz, Andy & Katherine are going direct & should be there by 12.15 p.m.
Emily's Mum can take players there but she & Emily are not coming back to Letchworth. Liz - please could you bring her passengers home?
At the original venue, Saffron Walden County High School, Audley End Road, Saffron Walden CB11 4UH, there are NO toilets or changing rooms.
The other astro, where we might yet play, is next to their clubhouse at Newport Free Grammar School, Bury Water Lane, Newport CB11 3TR.
I think we must assume that we are playing at S.W.C.H.S., unless we hear otherwise.
This weekend will be your last opportunity to pay for the Ladies Dinner & choose your menu. Wiggy has sent out details of our 'entertainment' rehearsal on Tues April 3rd - please let us know if you have not received them.
