They scored 156 points to nil in their three pool games and only conceded one try all afternoon in the final where they were far too strong for a gallant Fullerians side which due to injury contained three from North Herts Crusaders . Twelve teams took part on a showery day and indeed the Nort Herts Crusaders were the first ever Rugby League team to take part in a County Competition going out to Royston in the semi finals . The plate was won by Old Verulamiums who beat Watford in a n exciting game .Howerever it was the Legends who looked by far the most impressive 7s outfit all afternoon and deservedly won the spoils .It was not just the Tirrell and Robinson show , though both showed their brilliance at various times. Fijians Vuki and Del Isikeli reveled in their national game whilst returning Stevenage players Phil Pearson and Jordan Ross impressed throughout the afternoon .Richard Streets ,Hilton mulariki , and Alex Lennon also showed a fleet turn of foot . It is hoped that next season there will be even more teams involved and the competition can ber even more successful .County Chairman Mark Elliott congratulated Letchworth on the organization of the tournament including the minutes silence before the final for ex Legend Mickey Robinson who died suddenly last week .
