We go to Hooky in good spirits following a strong finish to the season which has seen us go four matches unbeaten and finally get off bottom spot. A victory at Hook Norton tomorrow could potentially see us finish as high at 11th in the table, something which looked difficult after some disappointing results in the first half of the season.

Wednesday night's 3-2 win was of course not without controversy and as a result of the violent conduct sending off that Purton collected in the second half, Jack Hamblin misses this game having undergone an operation for a broken jaw. Our very best wishes go to Jack, a hugely popular player at the club and a really talented young defender. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Dan Courtney also misses the match as he required seven stiches having sustained a nastily cut eye in an accidental clash of heads. Again, we wish Dan all the best as he also has been in integral part of our squad this season. Captain Tom Stone and the ever-consistent Matt Pill are unavailable for this game.

The good news is that Jon Hanson is in the squad for the first time since November. Jon picked up a head injury in the home match with North Leigh and we are really pleased to see him return. Manager David Richardson also names Alex Thomas in the squad, he returns having missed a umber of matches recently due to work commitments and it is a boost to have him back. A Letcombe old-boy, Neil Cheshire, who played for us in pre-season is also in the squad. In full it reads: Danny Joyce, Tom Broad, Luke Stone, James Wright, Andy Goodchild, Ross Packham, Adam Claydon, Chris Hewitt, Owen Shaw, Dan Hoskin, Jon Hanson, Neil Cheshire, Alex Thomas, Matt Clark.

Back in August we were edged out 1-0 against Hooky at Bassett Road. Hook Norton have gone on to have a really good season and are 5th in the league going into the game. Kick off is 3pm as the lads look to end a really good second half of the season on a high.
