Young striker second up...

Our brand new Introducing series continues and we have had a really good response from our players to the questions we have posed. Second to feature is a young striker, set to embark on his first full season in men's football...

Sam Barson is the latest young player to sign forms with Letcombe FC and will really benefit from the fact that we have reformed our Reserve side for the 2014/15 season. This will give him the perfect opportunity to show what he can do in what is set to be a competitive Hellenic League Division 2 West.

Sam has been involved with our First Team squad throughout pre-season and featured as a substitute in the 3-3 draw with Reading YMCA. He scored his first goal for the club came in the 2-1 win over Saxton Rovers Reserves.

Despite his young age, Sam has already shown he has the ability to lead the line. He has the talent to get into dangerous areas and will be hoping to challenge for a first team place as he gains match experience. The signs are that he will become the latest young player to make his mark at Bassett Road.

So lets Introduce Sam Barson:

The best piece of footballing advice I have ever been given is: Keep practicing the things I'm not good at.

LETCOMBE FC
Do you have a pre-match routine? Not really, but my right boot has to go on first.
Who is the best dressed player in the Letcombe dressing room? Pilly was looking sharp after the Hook Norton game!
What about the worst dressed? Couldn't possibly comment!
Who is the loudest player before a match? Tom Stone is always firing everyone up.
Who is the funniest member of the Letcombe squad? Jack Hamblin.
If you were going on a night out, which three members of the Letcombe squad would you take and why: Dave Richardson because I've heard he's got some moves. Jack Hamblin because he would be a laugh and finally Harry Broad because then I would have someone to have a coke with!

Thank you Sam for taking the time to answer our questions! We wish Sam luck ahead of his first full season with the club and we are really looking forward to watching him progress.

We will be Introducing another member of the Letcombe squad next Monday (1st September).
