It's Snow joke!

Read the latest announcement from the Hellenic league.

Following last weekend's 'Blanket Postponement' weather conditions have changed little, other than the snow that is left on the ground is now probably frozen, as will be the pitch itself.

With the ongoing weather forecast unlikely to differ in the next 48 hours it is necessary to look towards another 'Non Football' weekend.

However, as the 'Blanket Postponement' caused one Club Secretary to go to the local press commenting; "We could have played, we felt it was ridiculous to call every game off the day before." Mark you, no contact was made by that particular club when the decision was made by the HL executive.

To ensure all clubs have the opportunity to comment for this coming weekend the following information is required by 3pm Friday 10 February but only if there is a liklihood of your pitch being fit for purpose and would allow for a match to be played at that time. Clubs that do not respond will be considered to have a ground that is not fit for purpose at that time and will be considered for Match Postponement.

For clubs who believe they will be able to play are to provide the league office with current state of ground and playing surface - photo images appreciated. Local weather forecast to Saturday - match finish time.
Non responding clubs will be considered to have grounds that are be unfit for play. A decision will be made late Friday afternoon regarding Saturdays scheduled matches. Such decisions will be advised to all at approx 6pm.
