Ben Griffin also known as sicknote for his injury hit career was a quick and at times very unpredictable bowler.
His quick pace and his favourite delivery (the head high beamer) made him difficult to face.
But after a number of seasons at Bassett Road Griffin seeked pastures new and emigrated to Canada.
A good player who was always up for a laugh, Griffin is a sorely missed character in the dressing room.
Although some notable displays in LCC colours, he will always be remembered for being the only player in the history of the game to leave the field of play with violent hiccups, and his silly hat of course.
