Very Many Thanks.....
.....to those who were able to support the booking at Balshaw’s HS on Saturday, 12th . Our efforts were much appreciated.
Then to those who turned out on Thursday, 17th at Leyland Methodist Church for the ‘Together on Thursdays’ group: a most appreciative audience..........
.........and we hope that Geoffrey enjoyed his first two outings with us.

Programme 2018
Saturday, 2nd June at Longton Fete – Mike eagerly awaits your responses!

Saturday, 9th June is Dave Rowland’s 70th Birthday Party at Wellington Park, Burlington Gardens, Church Road, Leyland, PR25 3AB from 7:30 pm. (actual date of birthday is 12th).
Names so far are: Len, Malcolm Sue & Dave R. for music; Mike, Geoff, Ian, Barry, Roy H.,Roy S. & Andrew to dance. ANY MORE?
(Dave’s grandchildren are looking forward to playing for us too!)
It’s to be a social event with some dancing from us and some from the gathered throng – and, no doubt, some playing and singing by Dave and his family.
N.B. Our ladies are invited too.

Sunday, 1st July at Croston Open Gardens IS OFF - insufficient numbers.

Other ideas to consider are:-
Saddleworth Rushcart on Sat.or Sun. 25th or 26th August.

Huntley’s Farm at Samlesbury on Mon.27th August.

Singleton MD’s Day of Dance on Sat. 8th September

.....and we also have an invitation to do another session with the Arts for Disabled Adults group at Knowle Green in September or October.

Odds & Ends
1. Had you noticed that the team’s old HQ (The Old Original Seven Stars) has survived demolition and is to be re-named Th’Owd Seven Stars following the renovation work which is currently going on.
2. Some kind neighbour has cut the big hedge for us.
3. A lass with the Air Cadets seen at Balshaw’s fete was interested in the colours used for the ribbons on our arms and breeches: she’s Romanian-born and those are her nation’s colours.
4. Geoffrey is keen to borrow a copy of ‘Will It Be Fine, Do You Think?’ Can anyone help him, please?
