INFORMATION SHEET w/c MONDAY, 26th NOVEMBER , 2018

Many Thanks......to those who were able to help at St Anne’s School on 31st October & 1st November. The latter visit was for the Parents Evening: less than half the youngsters turned up but those who did were the keen, eager beavers (thank goodness!) and Ruth, the member of staff involved, was delighted with their showing. Things went far, far better than the previous day’s practice session might have suggested!
Likewise thanks to those who were at the annual Derian House Winter Sparkle at Astley Hall on Sunday, 4th November. It was bit exposed outside the front door of the Hall and it was better that we should just keep on playing and dancing for as long as we could without the usual recovery breaks. There were such big crowds that we were never without an audience. Another successful outing.
A first visit to St James’School, Brindle, came next (on Friday, 9th) and what a lively afternoon we had! The school seemed particularly delighted with the way things went. An impromptu display was put on for another of the classes that afternoon and it was reported that the group were even showing what they’d learnt to the rest of the school this morning.
Geoff and Pamela were very grateful for LMM’s card of sympathy (and for all the others too) on the death of Pam’s mum, Jean, and for the team’s support at Charnock Richard crematorium on Monday 19th.
On the following evening we were at the Parkinson’s Society evening at St Cuthbert’s, Fulwood. We had a good turn-out and the clients were delighted with the programme we put on for them, especially the things to join in.
Finally, another big ‘Thank you’ to those who were able to help out at Clayton Green Cubs last Tuesday evening. Yet another success.

From St Anne’s School......
“Thank you so much for coming into school and teaching us how to dance. We loved every minute of it, especially performing for our parents.” (Mrs Schofield and Class 2).
They also sent us a box of sweets - which Mike may defer opening until Geoff is back with us.
