Many Thanks......
........to all who were at Wellington Park on Saturday, 9th June, our ladies included. Dave & Margaret greatly appreciated your presence. Although it was a party for Dave, he worked harder than anyone!! Still, that would be par for the course!!

Events that are OFF are Huntley’s and Garstang over the August Bank Holiday weekend and Singleton Cloggers’ Day of Dance on 8th September.

Odds & Ends
1. On Monday, 4th June a BBC TV programme included our old friends Mendip MM. About the only recognisable member was Peter Rose in the part of The Fool.
2. The summer issue of the EFDSS magazine included a review of Alan Bell’s The Cocklers (Songs from a Time and a Place), part of which read, ”The most successful tracks step away from the template, notably The White Sands of Morar, a Scottish diversion that is lifted by a captivating fiddle solo from Sue Jennings.” Well, there’s fame for you – and well done Sue!
3. In the same publication was a page about Morris Hey – An Introduction to Morris Dancing, part of which read, ”The manual contains instructions for teaching six dances – three Cotswold Morris dances.......one Border Morris dance.....one North West Morris dance (Walton’s Parade) and one Molly Dance......A bit of fame for Ed Sanders and Leyland MM – but I wonder whether either will be acknowledged!!
