....to the 5 + 7 who went along to entertain the jolly ladies of Mawdesley WI on Thursday, 24th January and also ensured they didn’t have to take back home too much of the lovely buffet supper!

Details: This is their Annual Dinner. While they’re rounding it off with coffee, RS
will be giving them a very brief history of LMM. Thereafter we shall, as
ever, have to ‘go with the flow’! They’ve certainly expressed an interest
in joining in with some things.

Saturday, 18th May – our own Morris Taster Workshop at Leyland Cricket Club 10:30 am – 2 pm. We’ll need everyone to assist in ‘spreading the word’
Monday evening, 3rd June – Newton-le-Willows for a National Association of Women’s Clubs event. (Fee of £100!)
Saturday, 13th July – Malkin MD’s Tour of Pendle villages
Saturday, 27th July (am) – Springfield Nursing Home, Coppull
Saturday, 7th September – Singleton Cloggers’ Day of Dance

He’s also appreciate any info. you can give regarding likely holiday dates.

Odds & Ends
1. For those with an interest in such things, the British Commercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland – following a £1.8 million National Lottery Grant - has re-opened and is to be open every day except Mondays, 10 am to 4:30 pm. The cafe (Emma’s Cafe) will be open every day.
2. Since our last Info.Sheet Paul Dryden’s mum has died and the funeral was last Friday. We send our sincere sympathies to Paul and to all his family. On Friday Paul has an appointment at Blackpool Victoria Hospital to have some stents inserted into his pipework! We’ll be thinking about him.
3. The latest Morris Ring Newsletter is out via e-mail. It runs to about 38 pages. If anyone would like an electronic version, please let Mike know.
