Rylands dominated the first half as the ring rusty Leyland side made a series of errors that saw the majority of the half in their own 20. But despite the majority of possession Rylands never looked like breaching the home defence.
Superb defence from the Warriors pack and winger Liam Malley
who saved a sure try right on the half time whistle saw the teams go into half time tied 0-0.
The Warriors came out for the second half a completely changed team and quickly established field possession and built the pressure that saw kyle kershaw
crash over from close range. The Warriors now took the game to the opposition and went close on several occasions before full back and Man of the Match Jordan Howarth
held off four tacklers to score a second try to put warriors 12-0 up.
The ever reliable Mark Jackson
added a penalty to complete Leyland's scoring and Rylands managed to score a late consolation try but it was the Warriors that ran out deserving winners.
