After a good training session on Saturday the lads were in confident mood . Hindleys Coach informed me they only had 9 players so we agreed to match up as best we could and I asked for volunteers to play for the opposition both halves .
I had plenty of volunteers to choose from , thanks guys true sportsmanship . We remember them days when we used to turn up with 8 and 9 players it isn’t nice at all .

The game got off to a bright start and it wasn’t long till Danny Wilkins raced clear to score the first of Leylands Trys. The conversion was missed by Joe Weston .

It wasn’t long until Leyland scored another 2 trys in quick succession Wilkins Bagging a second and Weston scoring one himself , Weston also added conversions for them both .

Hindley showed spirit and determination and a nice move out wide saw them score which they added the extras as well .

Wilkins raced clear from the restart to score again with weston adding the extras yet again .

Leylands structure was much better than in recent weeks and it laid the platform for Michael stack to score before half time , This time James O’neil added the extras for the warriors .

Half Time Score Hindley 6 v 28

A more organised display in the second half from the warriors saw them score further tries from Wilkins X 2 , Joe Kirkby X 3

Final score was 54 – 12 to Leyland warriors , great effort guys ..

Man of the match , Jake Morton , he never gave up was always supporting and his tackling was great

Coaches Award , Joe Weston ..He had to play in a number of positions even when injured and for others others playing for Hindley .

Special Mentions must go to callum young , Ryan Chapman, Nathan Power & Sam Kenyon for Volunteering to play for Hindley , very sporting of you .
