The Bears kicked off and Leyland completed their first set with a bomb which West Bank knocked on. This gave Leyland good possession and Daniel Almond
crashed his way to the line to score. Luke Robinson converted. A few sets later, West Bank used a bomb which Daniele Pranzo took superbly and went the full lengh of the field to score.
West Bank scored a converted try before Fletcher Turner
spotted a gap on our 20 meter line and went up the rest of the field to score, with the conversion added by Robinson.
From the second half kick off Leyland found touch to regain possession and after a few more sets, Turner raced up the wing for another touch down which Robinson converted. The Bears scored a clever try from a kick before Ethan Ingman got on the score sheet by crashing though some tackles for a converted try.
Almond made good meters forward and it was great surport by Turner to complete his hatrick, Robinson again converting. West Bank completed the scoring with a converted try.
Mark Power, Matthew Bainbridge and Cole Parker made good meters. Both Daniel Freeman and Aidan Sadler looked dangerous with ball in hand. Our halfbacks Kian McKay and Jordan CLIFT
controlled the game well.
Most pleasing was our defensive line, everyone made tackles with the whole team given Best Tackler award. Man Of The Match went to Fletcher Turner
for his hatrick of tries and Most Improved Player was Daniele Pranzo for his performance in his new role at full back.
