A cool crisp afternoon at lightfoot lane as hoppers entertained a new look leyland warriors side.
A numbers of changes for the warriors with dan horridge starting and flyhalf a debut for new scrum half neal Hartle and a switch of position for Alex green at hooker.
The whistle blew and it was hoppers who started the brighter forcing leyland to concede an early penalty well within range for the hoppers 10 who slotted it through the uprights for 3 points.
Warriors still sleeping from the restart allowed hoppers to win another kickable penalty this time it went wide of the mark.
After a few strong words from the leyland senior players seem to wake the team who marched down the pitch. After applying pressure to the hoppers line the home team conceded a penalty 5 metres out, leyland opted for the scrum after showing there dominace in the previous scrums, shovejng the home pack backwards at will. This allowed the visiting pack to walk the home side over the line for dempo to touch down.
