Lh come out strong against a good Rangers side

This Saturday Little Hulton entertained Manchester Rangers a win for the visitors would make them leapfrog over the reds,Little Hulton was expecting a hard game after the game at Manchester ended with a 12 10 win to the reds. This was exactly what Little Hulton didn't get with in 5 minutes of the kick off front rower Ken Sackfeild steamed over the line with Wes Winder adding the extras.Little Hulton had brought last weeks game with them, with the forwards easily getting over the advantage line Mike Vinton adding the second after collecting a kick and powering thro the Manchester fullback again Winder was on the mark with his kick.Kenny Sackfield was soon to get his brace of try's crashing on to a pass and spinning out of the tackle to bag his second.Manchester then managed to put the reds under some pressure after conceding some penalties the Manchester winger was able to open their account with an unconverted try.Lee Foster was next to benefit from his powerful pack as Schofield was held just short Foster dived over from the resultant play the ball. Manchester completed the scoring in the 1 st half with a converted try just before the half time whistle, giving us a half time score of 22 10 to the reds and playing downhill in second half.Little Hulton Reds started like a house on fire second half attacking down the left and the right,Sackfield was denied his hat trick try when he failed to ground the ball over the Manchester line, with Hessian,Bell and Foster calling the shots in the middle of the park a hefty win looked on the cards, after the reds were stopped just short on the right the ball was swiftly moved to right, with Foster sending a 30 yard pass to Mike Sherwin on the right, with his size strength and speed with that much room it was inevitable he would score which he did.Little Hulton eased off the gas and manchester gained in confidence.Manchester were throwing the ball about and eventually got the deserts with and unconverted score. Was all Manchester now with the Reds defending stoutly eventually the Reds ran out of players and the Rangers standoff danced over for a converted score, Little Hulton were now hanging on with Hargreaves and Robinson repelling every thing down the left and Sherwin and Heaton doing the same down the right leaving Manchester only the middle to go thro and the L H pack dealt with that for last 10 minutes, final score Little Hulton Reds 26 Manchester Rangers 20 Little Hulton away to Westhoughton next week
