History
The first Hi 5's took place at Mold RFC on Saturday 15th August 2009 with 12 Teams totalling around 120 players, 4 Referees and a host of volunteers. Overnight the team at Mold RFC turned the 1st Team pitch into an arena with 2 pitches and spectator areas to enable spectators a view of all games taking place.
After 5 Hours 30 minutes of entertaining rugby, an unknown amount of costume changes and The Exiles were crowned the Winners of the 1st Hi 5's Cup.
The second Hi 5's took place again at Mold RFC on Saturday 24th July 2010. This time 16 Teams totalling around 160 players, 5 Referees and a few less volunteers due to weddings and Holidays. Once again the team at Mold RFC turned the 1st Team pitch into the Hi 5 arena. Joining the spectators fresh from the WRU summer tour to New Zealand was rugby union star Rob McCusker former Mold player and friend of Pauls. Unfortunatly due to commitments with Warrington Wolves another of Pauls friends WRL star Rhys Williams was unable to attend. However Rhys donated a signed Wolves shirt which raised £100 towards the 2010 total. Thanks Rob and Rhys.
8 Hours and 40 minutes of rugby, with teams wanting to improve on the previous years placing, provided an exciting and at sometimes tense atmosphere with The Exiles once again setting the standard in hi 5's Rugby being crowned the Winners of the Hi 5's Cup for the second time.
