Why Hi 5's?
Welcome....
This Tournament is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend Paul Hopkins who passed away suddenly on Thursday 19th March 2009.
Family and Friends of Paul got together to try and decide what would be the best way to remember this truelly unique young man.
After much deliberation, an idea was put forward to host an event that could bring together all of Pauls Family and Friends, Whilst playing the game he loved in a place that could be considered his Families second home.
The Lil' Hoppo Hi 5's is a no contact, 5 aside, Touch Rugby Tournament. with three main aims.
1. To have as much fun as you possibly can.
2. To get everyone involved in playing and enjoying Rugby .
3. To raise as much money as possible for The British Heart Foundation.
Their is no spectator entrance fee but we will be collecting donations for the charity during the day.
In the evening following presentations their will be a disco at The Club entrance £5 again being donated to The British Heart Foundation (players free entry), to allow everyone involved to let their hair down Lil Hoppo style.
Please come along and be part of our event to help us remember a True gentleman and legend.
In the two years the event has taken place we have raised £2980 for this great charity. This video helps explain where the money is spent.
Our thanks go out to Mold RFC who kindly donated the use of there facilities free of charge to help remember one of their own.
Thanks also go out to all those who give up there time to help make this event a success and last but not least the Players without whom the games could not take place.
