Social Secretary Sean O"Neills Latest Report

We all have our own reasons why we don the black and red colours of Linby to turn out on a cold ,wet, rainy Saturday afternoon .
Some are for fitness, others a mere excuse to get out of the house, away from the naggin missus.
For most of us, playing for Linby has bought great friendships, deeper than football and a huge part of that I beleive is down to the group of players, Management, fans, stagglers and all affiliated with the club.

I think I can vouch for 99.9% of the club (apart from Glenn) we all look forward to a beer after a match day, and the amber nectar tastes even sweeter on a 6 Point saturday. This season we have seen some fantastic results for both teams, which are depicted in our current League postions and still with all cups to play for.
I believe in the last 2 seasons, we have seen some brilliant additions in the senior set up , who have stepped up from our U18s. They have been settling in well with some fine individual performances, BUT their Banter is just SH*T .
Not one to mention names, but who goes to Oceana in a pair of Sambas !! BUTLER !!!!
We are fortunate to have many funny characters at the Club, and with Christmas on the horizon, I think it would be a fantastic opportunity for all to get together for a good old fashioned knees up, ( BUTLER NO SAMBAS ALLOWED ) , we have the Annual CHRISTMAS DO .
This year it will be taking place on Saturday 13th December 2014 , in Chesterfield .
A coach is being provided, which will be picking up around 7pm from Hucknall High Street, and leaving Chesterfield at 3am. To avoid disappointment get your £15 to management or Committee as soon as possible.

Last season , it was fantastic to win a Trophy with a great set of lads, that night in the Shed, was one I will not forget, yet I cant really remember it ??
It would be extra special if we as a Club bought home a Trophy for the First Team, Reserves and U18s, because it means ONE thing...MORE SHED NIGHTS...

LONG LIVE THE SHED ....

Sean O"Neill.... Social Secretary , Linby
