Dean West, joint manager of Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Lincoln Moorlands Railway, believes his side are good enough to win at sixth-placed Scarborough Athletic on Saturday.
Moorlands won for the second time in three games last weekend when they beat fellow strugglers Hall Road Rangers 2-1 to complete the double over the Hull side.
Two goals inside the first 15 minutes from strikers Lee Beesley and Ben Garrick put Moorlands in control and on the way to three vital points.
Now West harbours the belief that Moorlands can be a match for anyone.
"We did ever so well on Saturday," said West.
"We should have gone on to score more goals, we hit the bar and had numerous other chances to put the game to bed.
"To go in 2-0 at half-time was crucial for us and we were able to regroup and take heart going into the second half.
"Their goal was a penalty and they came into the game a bit, but we were always in control and we were delighted with the result, the performance and the first-class attitude of the players.
"Going to Scarborough this Saturday will be a good test.
"It will keep us on our toes because they are up there and pushing.
"We're getting better all the time and we know the players are good enough to compete with Scarborough, I just hope they believe that too.
"They should have taken a lot of belief from our performances and results in the last three weeks."
