Unfortunately Lincolnshire U17 girls could not capitalise on the constant pressure in the Cambs D in the second half losing 1-0
Lincolnshire U17 girls travelled to Cambs with only 11 players. The girls had their work cut out for them with no subs available on the bench. The Cambs girls were very strong from the start with sharp passing and movement on the pitch. The Lincolnshire defense played very well and managed to keep Cambs at bay despite the constant pressure in the D in the first half. Unfortunately, Cambs got a goal from a short corner to put them 1 ahead.
At half time a different Lincolnshire side stepped out and the game turned with Lincolnshire dominating possession and forcing numerous short corners but sadly they failed to convert any of the many attempts into goals.
A very disappointing result for the girls but they should all be proud of how they played it was an excellent game to watch and the result could have gone either way.
