Lincoln United were saddened last week to here of the death of former Secretary, Tom Hill.

Tom joined the club in 2000 having been a regular visitor for sometime in his role as an FA Referee's Assessor.

He had of course, been a Referee at the highest level, both in the First Division (as was) as well as officiating in European Football.

He was a first class Secretary the club was superbly run during his tenure. Tom was a great teller of "stories" all picked up from a life in Football.

A minutes silence was held before Saturday's game with Kings Lynn and was marked with the respect Tom deserves.

He also spent some time in the Northern Premier League with Alfreton Town.

The club's thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
