I spoke with a very disappointed Gaffer today who was understandably angry about Saturday's defeat to Tividale.

Q. What went wrong on Saturday?

A. Well first of all let me say I was very disappointed with the result.

You just can't gift goals to any opposition in this league.

Since I have been here in charge I can't remember a single team giving us anything.

We made mistakes on Saturday and got punished.

We got back into the game but then gave Tividale so many lifts they took advantage.

Last year there was very little difference between us and the rest of the teams in the league.

But there was one big difference last season and last Saturday.

The opposition hold their concentration and mentality throughout each game much better than us.

Once Tividale went 2-1 up they were determined and focussed not to lose that game.

We were well on top in the first half but if you don't take your chances you get punished.

We have brought in quality players this season and once people realise they have got the shirt then they have to fight to keep it.

Q. What plans for tomorrow's game against Stocksbridge?

A. I've got to ask myself 'Do I give the players another chance?'

I'm still making up my mind about that. We set high standards here and I feel we didn't give value for money on Saturday.

I can't really affect the game once the players cross that white line, apart from making substitutions.

They have to take responsibilty. We have done all the talking, now it's time to see a performance on the pitch.

Q What is the injury situation?

A. I will have a chat with Andy Toyne today to see if he is ok.

Andy Hutchinson's ankle injury is not as bad as first thought but he will still be missing for two or three weeks.

Apart from those two there are no injury worries.
