Review of Mickleover Match

Going to the league leaders on a cold wet Tuesday night when traffic makes you late to the game plus hardly time to warm up you could be forgiven that we might not be at the levels that you need to be to get a result.

However all said and done I am glad to say we didn't let all of that bother us in the slightest.

Yet again we've shown we can give all the top sides in this division a proper game of football.

Our tempo was high and with the pitch helping our passing we created the better chances and our first goal epitomised what we are all about.

Lovely one and two touch interplay,a dummy and a side foot finish from Sam Duncam gave us a great start.

Unfortunately their equaliser was straight away but it didn't stop us trying to play.

I was delighted with our performance and it was a really good game of football.

Hutch deserved his goal and with a bit more luck could have had a hat trick.

Brooksy came in and did really well alongside Toyney and both wide boys were superb.

Jordan Lemon is a manager's dream. He can play anywhere and be 7/8 out of 10 every game. He works tirelessly for his team mates and claimed two assists.
Sam Duncam on the otherside looks back to his best.

His pace and quality puts teams on the back foot and he showed real class last night plus also chipped in with a goal.

Defensively we were solid against a top team and got done to an absolute worldy.

It was a great strike worthy to win any game and a point before the game we would have taken.
Another tough test away to Norton this Saturday with the hope of staying in the pack and keeping our season alive.

Gaffer.
