Sun-hat Villas & Resorts have fulfilled their 3-year commitment to Lincoln United by sponsoring the Whites’ stadium for the 2016-17 season.

Sun-hat started their three-year Stadium sponsorship deal in 2014 and this has provided a substantial annual income for the Club since then as it strives to win promotion and improve its facilities.

Sun-hat Villas & Resorts are a leading ABTA luxury holiday rental agency with properties in Barbados, Italy, Lanzarote, Portugal and Spain’s Balearic Islands. Founded in 2001 by experienced travel professional (and keen Whites’ supporter), Peter Jenkins, Sun-hat have a range of exclusive villas, spectacular modern properties and ‘romantic bolt-holes’. Based in Lincoln, Peter and the Sun-hat team have a combined experience of over 200 years in the travel industry and provide a first-class tailored service for their customers.

His work takes Peter out of the country for much of the football season but he stays in touch with the Whites’ results through Twitter and attends as many games as he can when he is in Lincoln, along with his trusty group of United supporters.

“I am pleased that the partnership between Sun-hat and Lincoln United has been of benefit to the Club,” says Peter, “and enabled them to make progress on the field and off it. Everyone at the Club works so hard and I would encourage other businesses in the local area to get behind them to keep the Club moving forward.”

United chairman, Ian Beaumont, underlines just how important people like Peter and sponsorships like that provided by Sun-hat are to the Whites’ continuing development.
“Peter started as a keen supporter, then joined the Committee where his business experience was invaluable to us. Regrettably, his business commitments meant he could not continue with the Committee but his company’s long-term sponsorship and his personal support of the Club have been a great asset to us. We need more people like Peter involved with Lincoln United and that will be a main feature of my chairmanship moving forward.”
