History

The Lions in the Community programme has been operating in and around Andover for over 2 years now and is supported by a number of local businesses and organisations, most notably its main sponsor and supporter being local Healthplan provider Simply Health . Lions in the Community offers an extensive programme of football coaching in primary, secondary and special schools throughout the Andover area, enabling children to practice and develop their skills in a fun environment.

Cathy Devereux, Director of Lions in the Community says: "There is a need within our local schools for good quality and consistent football coaching. As the town's major club we see it as our responsibility to deliver this, with the aim of becoming the number one provider. We view ourselves as a community-focussed club with this programme being integral to our organisation. We are extremely grateful to Simply Health and our other sponsors for their generous support and for recognising what we are striving to achieve."
