Safety at Sports Grounds

Following on from the letters concerning the Sports Advisory Group please note that the Club Development Committee is hoping to organise further NVQ Level 2 courses in Spectator Safety with Integer Training at no cost to the individual or Club.

Accordingly I am seeking names/contact details of members of your Club willing to undertake the Course and become accredited. For information the Course is two days spent in the classroom plus tree practical assessment events where the candidates will be required to work as a voluntary steward.

Whilst it is accepted that some Clubs will not have spectator numbers demanding qualified Stewards nonetheless other events in the local community may require such stewards and the Club’s ability to provide practical support would undoubtedly be beneficial.

The CRFU would hope that the trained Stewards would volunteer for County matches and other events such as the Finals of the County Cups.
