Berkshire shire hall 18 v Littlemore 17
Last league game of this fantastic season
The Littlemore quest for the perfect season hit the buffers at the final hurdle as the hosts made the most of a terrible start from Littlemore.
Littlemore were 15 -0 down within the first 30 minutes but with a disallowed try from Cameron bashford after he was pushed back over the line having grounded the ball , it looked like it was going to be on of those days but on the stroke of half time captain rich tattershal went over for a try to give us a lifeline to which Jonny Williams converted.
HT - Shire hall 15 v Littlemore 7
In the second half Littlemore started to play to their gameplan and tries from prolific Ben symington and a second for rich tattershall to give Littlemore a 17-15 lead with 12 minutes to play.
Littlemore had another try disallowed after Luke ward went in at the corner only for the referee to overrule the touch judge and not allow it as they was a foot in touch.
A big talking point and a massive call from the referee, rich tattershall went over for a try to which the referee gave before being convicted that the ball had been knocked out of his hands as he went to ground the ball and reversing his decision.
On this decision shire hall took the resulting 22 metre drop out which was taken incorrectly and were instructed to take it again , instead of the option being given to Littlemore for a scrum !!!!
With 4 minutes left on the clock Littlemore gave Shire hall a opportunity after an infringement at the break down to convert a penalty in front of the Littlemore post which they did with aplomb.
