Liversedge stalwart Andy Shuttleworth celebrated a fantastic milestone in style as he captained the side to victory in Monday's NCEL Premier Division clash against Nostell.
Shuttleworth was handed the captain's armband to mark his 100th game for the Clayborn club and his teammates ensured it would be a memorable day.
Nostell created early chances but crosses from both wings came to nothing, while Dave Bordman shot wide for the home side after seven minutes.
Paddy McGuire went close to opening the scoring just before half-time but his shot struck the base of a post as it remained goalless at the break.
Liversedge raised their game in the second half and Nathan Cartman had an effort tipped over after 47 minutes.
Liversedge deservedly took the lead on 62 minutes when Alex Hallam ran at the defence and fired under the goalkeeper from the edge of the area.
Sedge had the bit between their teeth and Cartman laid the ball off for Jake Lawlor and his cross found Paddy McGuire, whose shot was saved.
Liversedge were well on top and Damian Hopkins found Hallam, who produced another impressive strike to double his side's advantage, making him joint top goal scorer with Cartman on 15 goals.
Cartman shot over the crossbar before Hallam had a chance to complete his hat-trick 10 minutes from full-time but he was denied by the goalkeeper.
Liversedge had done enough to ensure Shuttleworth would celebrate bringing up his century for the club and victory leaves them 14th in the table going into their final two Matches.
