The Biggest Game In Llandudno's History Needs No Introduction.

A bumper crowd of 1,015 were there to see if Llandudno could clinch promotion to the Welsh Premier League against a tough opponent in the form of Denbigh Town.

A nervy opening start to the game, where the desire of both teams was on show, was followed by a fine Danny Hughes strike on 11 minutes that was sweetly hit with the inside of the right foot that cannoned back of out the post to the dismay of the Town support.

22 minutes and the deadlock is broken by Toby Jones, after an astounding pass from deep from Danny Hughes, Toby chests the ball down and chips the ball over Mike Jones in the Denbigh goal.

It was then Denbigh's turn as he punishes Llandudno after some lacklustre defending, to bring Denbigh level and back into the tie.

Toby Jones involved again this time with a bit of magic, twisting and turning his man, he manages to deliver a chipped ball into the box for Lewis Buckley to poke home and put town up 2-1 at the break in turn bringing up Llandudno's 100th goal for the season in all competitions.

10 minutes into the second half and Buckley is shown a yellow card for his troubles, only for his night to get worse as exactly 10 minutes later he is given his marching orders for a deliberate handball, Buckley, visibly upset by second yellow makes his way to the changing rooms.

The game really in full flow by this point and Town looking really like they will do it at home and claim the Huws Gray Alliance title, that is until the 81st minute, Denbigh's Stu Vernon, who really was a bystander for three quarters of this game, is allowed to strike from 30 yards, and what a strike it is, outside of the right foot it swerves in the air and over Connor Wearing, who has been absolutely superb and had no chance with that strike.

The game finished 2-2 and a real anti-climax at Maesdu, The fans are visibly deflated as are the team but with the league still in the team's hands there will be a massive focus on next Saturday's game.

Manager Alan Morgan said after the game, "It's a shame really I feel the sending off changed the game, we were 2-1 up and I felt we were likely to go on and score a third. We will take the positives out of it as we took a point and we are a point closer (to the title)."

Striker and Man of the match Toby Jones also spoke after the game to the Sgorio cameras, "We are all disappointed in the changes, we've got to pick our heads up now and go to Penycae next week and win the game.

"It's a shame we couldn't give them the result the fans came for but I would like to thank them for coming out to support us."
