Cup woe's for United.

Llandyrnog United's comeback was a case of too little too late as they faced Glan Conwy at Cae Nant in the League Cup first round on the weekend.
Glan Conwy got the opener after United failed to clear a goal yard scramble and it eventually fell to Kieran Hillcliff who's effort managed to find its way through 6 players and into the villagers net.
Glan's second game minutes before the break when a defensive error led to Jay Williams being able to head into a open Dyrny goal . After some stern words from caretaker manager Tudur Morris at the break United rallied together but it wasn't until the 78th minute that they got their break, not from want of trying. Sion Davies smashed the ball in from a tight angle then moments after the restart Craig Jones did well to win the villagers a penalty after rounding his man then being pulled to the ground. Up stepped Danny Jones (DJ) who made no mistake from the spot kick.
A light at the end of the tunnel it seemed but as the minutes ticked away United just couldn't find that all important leveler and once again their own mistakes would come back to haunt them.
This Saturday new Manager Aled Davies will take the reigns as United once again play hosts to Glan Conwy this time in a League encounter.
