United defeat the unbeaten!

Llandyrnog moved up to 2nd place in the league with a brilliant display to defeat last season's champions and become the first team to take points of them so far this season.

Entering the game with a perfect 6 wins from 6 Treaddur Bay were full of confidence but were blown away by a superb first half performance from Ryan Harden's side.
Dyrny started brightly and were quicker to every ball all over the pitch and got the lead their start deserved when in form Mark Roberts chased down his own flick on and managed to nip in between goalkeeper and defender to fire home.
It was 2 soon after as Liam Jones floated in a free kick that was expertly headed home by captain Les Brophy.
The away side were shellshocked and began to lose their heads and were reduced to 10 men after their goalkeeper was dismissed for an off the ball incident.
The game should have been over on the stroke of half time when Dan Cox was put clean through but slotted just wide.

The home side were dealt a blow at half time when Roberts was forced to leave the field with an injury and perhaps thinking the game was over they allowed Treaddur Bay back into the game in the 2nd half. Miles Todd was forced to make a couple of great last ditch blocks while at the other end both Jones brothers had glorious chances to seal the game but were denied by Bay's stand in goalkeeper.

The visitors showed why they are champions and never gave up and they were handed a lifeline with 5 minutes remaining when a free kick from 20 yards beat keeper Rich Parry to reduce the deficit.
Marshalled by the outstanding Brophy, Dynry stood firm and saw out the remaining minutes to a register the victory they deserved to move within 3 points of the leaders with a game in hand.

Manager Harden said '' We were terrific in the first half. They couldn't cope with the speed of our play and we just blew them away and really should have put the game out of sight. We got complacent in the second half and took our foot of the gas and were nearly punished at the end so we will learn our lessons from that."
