A fantastic away point at Llanrug made Llandyrnog now undefeated in last 3 league games.
In what is always a tough place to go to it was made all the harder as the pitch was very heavy and made playing football very difficult for both sides.
The match started very evenly with both sides having there chances, the young Ryan Goldston in goal pulling off a great save to his left to turn it round the post from Llanrug's left winger, the first goal came from a very good move from Llanrug. Llandyrnog didn't panic and picked themselves up playing some clever football to create a number of chances with Dion Jones unlucky not to level the score after breaking through the Llanrug defence, only for the keeper to make a good save, the equaliser came 10mins before the half, Luke Appleby twisting and turning on the 18 yard box before unleashing an unstoppable shot with his left foot to the top corner of the goal with the keeper at full stretch.
The second half was evenly contested with both sides having their chance but, in the end a draw was a fair result.
That makes it 1 win and 2 draws from their last 3 league fixtures for United and definitely a step in right direction
