Spirited fightback comes up just short.

Llandyrnog United's comeback was just a little too late and they were left reeling from a mad 10 minutes in the first half where they found themselves 3-0 down.
Missing Sion Davies, Luke Appleby, Steve Harris, Sam Roberts and Dan Porter it was going to be an uphill battle but a great chance for certain players to step up.

United started well with Daf Evans making a blistering run down the right and delivering a brilliant cross to the far post for young Jack Kelly who made his first team debut, but his header went agonisingly wide.
Moments later Penrhyndaedraeth hit a long ball up top and impressive striker Meilir Williams flicked it past Ryan Goldston.
Within minutes United found themselves three goals down when Meilir Williams was on target again as he tapped in a cross from the left and completed hit hatrick with an exact repeat of his first following another long ball.

Davies and Hulse wasted no time and changed formation hoping to claw back into the game.
United kept pressing with Man of the match Daf Evans impressing more and more as the game went on and Dyrny were rewarded with a penalty just before the break. Dan Jones (DJ) made no mistake and the the sides went in with villagers having a light at the end of the tunnel.

United came out and for the second half there was only one team in it, Jack Kelly found himself through on goal and unselfishly set up Daf Evans who brilliantly finished into the bottom corner. 3-2 and game on!
Minutes later Danny Robs was played in by 16 yr old Daf Evans and Danny's strike from distance beat the home keeper but cruelly hit the post and went wide. United kept pressing but couldn't find the all important equaliser.
Ryan Goldston pulled off the save of the season when Penrhyn had a strike destined for the top corner and Dyrny's number one acrobatically sprung into action to tip it over for a corner.
Frustrating day for United and one they will learn from.
