Bad weekend see's both sides end Feb in defeats.

Llandyrnog 0 Llanrug 1

Llandyrnog United narrowly missed out on a share of the spoils when they played hosts to 3rd placed Llanrug.
John Peris Jones took the lead for the visitors when his flicked header narrowly escaped Azzi Hughes in the Dyrny goal and bobbled in.

The game had been fairly even up until the goal and the villagers were left seething after playing so well and holding their own.
Craig Jones was replaced by Louis Bollard after suffering a knock to his ribs, this would be Jones' last game on the campaign before he flies to Thailand for 3 months.
In preparation of this, Dai Ross Willians was promoted to the 1st team and set about making a name for himself, as he and Luke Farley up top always looking dangerous and chasing down at every oppeertunity.

United trailed at the break 0-1, but the game was still
wide open.
Danny Roberts was leading Dyrny attacks, delivering ball after ball into the danger zone, Farley went close on a few occasions but nothing really troubled the travelling keeper.
Dyrny best chance of the game came in the dying moments when Tom Jones rattles the cross bar from close range.
It was another good performance from the villagers against a top side but one they could feel they deserved more from.

Llandudno Junction Reserves 2 Llandyrnog Reserves 1

A tale of two halves at Llandudno Junction was the story for a frustrated Llandyrnog Reserves.
Llandyrnog started brightly with the wind behind them in blustery conditions, every ball seemed to drift beyond the junction defence but their keeper thwarted any hopes of a lead with some good saves.

Dyrny did find the breakthrough, Billy Holmes drilled a low cross which found Dai Clayton who tucked away the chance at the 2nd attempt after a fine initial save.
Dyrny came close again, Paul williams burst through one on one but the keeper saved brilliantly!
Williams' strike partner Andy Clarke also came close after Holmes crossed a low fast low ball across goal but the keeper managed to get fingertips to it to push it beyond Clarke coming in at the far post. Paul Williams again came close after he intercepted a short goal kick, but the keeper again recovered brilliantly to make a crucial save. Ht 0-1 with young Theo woolford dyer untroubled in the dyrny goal.

Junction started the 2nd half brightly and found their equaliser, it was a sucker punch going by the goings on in the 1st half of play. Dyrny came close a couple times in the half, Barry Williams had a shot cleared off the line as did Paul Williams, before junction grabbed the winner with a free kick that was crossed into the box, got caught in the wind and drifted into the top corner.
Final score Junction 2-1 Llandyrnog
