Burry Port have supported the Warriors from their inception with numerous players having played for both clubs, please see full history below.
The club has two fields on site of the club house and runs 2 senior sides and age group rugby from Under 7/8s through to Youth. The club has use of two sets of changing rooms and the clubhouse features a spacious bar, newly refurbished lounge area and an upstairs events room.

Whilst we hope this will be the beginning of a new era for the club we must also thank The Scarlets for allowing use to use their facilities in the past (From 1996/97 the Warriors played at Stradey park and then trained at Parc Y Scarlets until 2010/11 and to Rob & Val and the Cambrian which the club used as a base for several years. The club is also indebted to New Dock Stars RFC which was their home for the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons: Diolch yn fawr.

History of the Warriors & Burry Port RFC.
Llanelli Warriors were founded in 1995 to give people with learning difficulties an opportunity to play rugby and Burry Port plays a very significant part in the Warriors history. Initially the Warriors played 3 matches in 2 seasons all against the Swansea Gladiators, in Burry Port kit and featuring several of the club’s players.
The 97/98 season was a landmark one for the Warriors; the 1st full season and the 1st games against non integrated opposition. It started at Memorial Park where, led out by Llanelli RFC’s mascot ‘The Celtic Warrior’ they faced a South Wales Transport XV. Unfortunately for the Warriors it wasn’t a dream start as they went down 31-25. The Warriors were to became regular visitors but initially it wasn’t a lucky ground. Burry Port RFC also won the 1st match between the sides and an RNLI side completed a hatrick of defeats in that first season and in fact it took 7 attempts before the Warriors beat a Burry Port side.
The clubs played twice during the Warriors 10th season and they set a new record for highest total and biggest winning margin when they triumphed 17-49 with Jonathan Kerr equalling the club’s record with 3 tries in a game. The 2nd visit saw Dai Newson become the 1st Warriors to make 100 appearances.
As well as regular matches a whole squad of players have featured for both clubs and 2 generations of Ruddal, Lewis, James and Powell have graced the fixture. Duel members Dai Newson and Eric Horridge have captained the Warriors
On the 15th anniversary of the 1st fixture the club’s set up the Origin Cup to celebrate this history.
Since 2010/11 The Warriors have held a 7s and touch rugby tournament at Burry Port in which teams from the town have featured heavily.
