Boxing day Triumph Secures Dai Spriggs Cup
The Warriors produced a fine 2nd half performance to secure the Dai Spriggs Cup in an entertaining match at New Dock
The Warriors came from behind to secure against New Dock in their traditional boxing day fixture.
Both sides played fast open rugby resulting in an entertaining game although there was plenty of physicality to remind everyone that it wasn't touch rugby.
Rhydian Williams, on a rare return home, was named man of the match after several storming runs and a well struck conversion. Joining him on the score sheet were Jamie Evans, Simon Jenkins, Gwilym Lewis, Tom Phillips, Anthony Randall and Chris Edmunds who rounded off perhaps the try of the day.
After the game representatives of both clubs spoke about their mutual respect of each other and the importance of remembering former Warriors full back Dai Spriggs. Warriors Captain Darren Pollit also thanked New Dock for their support with facilities for matches and training.
