Newly installed Captain Darren 'Pretty' Pollitt led the Warriors to victory in the origin cup at Burry Port, scoring a try in a 36-27 victory.

In an enthralling game, two evenly mayches teams battled it out in atrocious conditons with the Warriors staging a late fight back to claim the trophy.

The Llanelli Star sponsored match was arranged to mark the 15th anniversary of the clubs' 1st game and commemorates the support Burry Port gave the Warriors when they were starting out.

The Burry Port team actually contained more of the Warriors 'Originals' with Gary James and Mark Bryant featuring for the home side whilst only John Horwood remains in the Warriors ranks from the 1st match.

Warriors scores came from Man of the match Simon Jenkins, Dean Roberts and in a Shane Williams style last action of the game Jason Bennett crossed at the death for the winning score. Kerr, Whittaker and Jenkins (2) added conversions with Whittakers an impressive touch line effort.

Afterwards an Aussie theme night saw much needed Kangeroo Cawl served up before a very competative Bush Tucker Trial. Agin it was very close between the team and in the end Dean Roberts (Warriors and ex Burry Port)and Rob Owens (Burry Port and ex Warriors) shared the tinnies.
The captive audience were also treated to some trditional aboriginie music courtesy of John Pugh.
