The sun shone gloriously and the 1st squad of the season assembled. Placed in pool G they lost narrowly to Hirwaun Pups 3-2 (despite not realising it was 7, not 6 a side for the 1st half) and Vardre magpies 1-0 which meant there was no progress in the main competitions but they still had the Fair Play Plaque to play for against oldest rivals the Swansea Gladiators. Unfortunately a strong Gladiators side scored twice without answer to claim that prize.

Never the less the Warriors enjoyed the day - another rugby experience, some beer in the sun and birthdays of John Horwood (55), Gwilym Lewis (43), Ryan Morgan (21) and debutant Harri Aston (18) all duly noted.
