Warriors End Of Season & Summer Round Up

2 months ago By Gwilym Lewis

A quick look at what's been happening and what's going to happen for the Warriors this summer

So another season finally draws to a close – though in true Warriors style there is still plenty going on (Check out the events page for the latest)

So recently:

Congratulations:
One time Warrior and full time Clan player Shabaz Khan became the 1st Warriors to earn a full cap when he made to appearances for Pakinstan. Congratulations Shabaz.

Simon Day and Rich Evans were involved in Burry Port’s busy end of season both being in the Squad for Gareth Gravell’s Select XV and the squad that won the Castell Howells Plate. Well done guys.

Liam ‘Chip’ Tobias won Most Improved Player at Neath RFC – good reward for hard work.

Matches:
Although fixtures have fallen foul of the weather, there was an excellent performance against Cae Maen Giants, a very enjoyable end of season run out within the club and of course the huge privilege of playing at the Millennium Stadium in the Mixed Ability Festival with the Swansea Gladiators and Cardiff Chiefs. A great event that not surprisingly everyone enjoyed.

As we wind down then, there are still some great occasions to enjoy:

June 13th – Monthly Disco at Felinfoel RFC
June 9th – Invitation 7s at Burry Port RFC featuring Llanelli Warriors, Stingrays, Cardiff Chiefs, Bone Crushing Ballerinas, Primary Eddas and more.
June 23rd – Presentation Evening at the Selwyn Samuel Centre in Llanelli

July 28th – H Bomb Cup against the Bumble Bee Barbarians (Tour)
