PARTY NIGHT - but committee continue to put hours in.

Tonight Bury Port RFC will host the 1st ever Warriors Christmas PARTY!!! £5 entry includes food (carers free) & Kareoke is waiting :)

meanwhile those matars on the committee will be putting the hard work in again.

last meeting minutes:
Present: Gwilym Lewis, Jamie Evans, Derrick Morgan, Richard Evans, Tracie Shambie, Vanessa Morgan, Mark Lewis.
1) Fixtures: Various fixtures were agreed along with dates for ‘come and try day’ and other events. Please see ‘fixtures’ and ‘calendar’ on website for details.
2) 26.11.14 Learning disability Wales are holding a conference in Newport to which the Warriors have been invited to make a 30 minute presentation. Neil Parker and Gwilym to coordinate and coach presenters. Presentation loosely follow example of Bumbles.
3) Curry Night proposed, Vanessa Morgan/Tracie Shambie to price curry houses. Gwilym to sound out Gary James on holding one at Burry Port clubhouse.
4) Gwilym/Tracie/everyone to publicise Cardiff matches 22.11.14, 14.3.15 and 17.4.15.
5) Burry Port Eve of Origin Q&A night and launch of pacific Islands tour, similar event in Betws during 6 nations – possibly mid-week, approach Nigel Owen.
6) Concern Disco attendance has dropped somewhat. Agreed to get poster out quicker (Gwilym) and distribute better (Everyone). Tracie to ask EJs about dropping age to 16. Committee would like to recognise the work of Ryan Morgan who has been DJ at recent discos – Thank You Ryan.
7) Lewis Board – Neil to sort. Suggestion that a canvas version might be feasible.
8) Bus driver test – Neil to (re)coordinate, Derrick unable to attend in the week.
9) Move to Burry Port – generally very positive. Transport has been an issue once. Encourage players to use facebook to communicate and reminder that it may not always be possible to give everyone a lift.
10) Sponsorship. Look for match sponsors - £50 a game. Also new kit(s) for 20th season. Approx £400 main shirt sponsorship, 1 sponsor on front of shirt with sub sponsors as obtainable on sleeves, back, shorts etc. Also look at player sponsorship.
11) Wednesday training session – agreed to merge with request from Felinfoel Women’s team to hold a touch rugby match – Gwilym to ask Jamie Hodson (Coach). 23rd or 1st of October.
12) Gwilym to continue collating documents which will allow Warriors to obtain Disability Sport Wales Blue Ribbon Award.
13) Code of Conduct to be adopted as no complaints/suggestions received.
14) Compile list of members wishing to train as coaches/1st aiders/referees.
15) Approach Scott Quinell to be president. Derrick to try and obtain contact details.
16) Calendar – Club to produce a Lewis Jones based calendar
17) Presentation to other clubs – Preferably made in centre as previously. Neil to coordinate
18) Tour: Unlikley to have Tri Union Cup. Butlins been suggested. Most relevant weekend – May 15th (Soul Weekend), Neil to investigate.
19) Membership - £30, inc membership of Burry Port club and kit. Gwilym & Jamie to take another player up to Neath to shop for kit.
21) Warriors v Medics t shirts to be sold at discos - £3
20) Additional: Green Llanelli kit to be sold off on Sunday: £5 jersey, £3 shorts.
21) Meeting to be held on 1st Monday of the month
