Career synopsis:
Jamie made his senior rugby debut on the wing for the Warriors, looking like Harry Potters’ weaker younger brother so, to be fair he has managed to exceed expectations right from the start.

Jamie was always confident and competitive and was disappointed to find that initially he was playing 2nd team rugby. He took this up with his coach and asked why he was in the 2nds – on being told it was “because we haven’t got a 3rds”, Jamie joined the RAF and moved to England where they have 3rds and 4th teams.

A suspected combination of hard work, talent, illness and blackmail saw Jamie make an appearance for the RAF and on his return he joined the Llanelli Warriors.

Here under the tutelage and general protection of his friend and mentor Gwilym “The Chief” Lewis, Jamie finally managed to progress and has even missed touch at such famous grounds as the Arms Park whilst also featuring for the sleeping giants of Welsh rugby, Betws 2nds.

A move into a player/coaching role and a place on the selection panel has coincided with Jamie being picked consistently and he has now worn the red of Wales in bars from Abercrave to Apia (replica red obviously) and has crossed the line at the Millennium Stadium (with the ball, not just his nose which to be fair sometimes crosses the line even when he watching from the stands).

With the Warriors game for all philosophy and the protection of Ben and Gwilym it’s likely Jamie can extend his entertaining career for many seasons to come.
