Llanfair lose two goal lead
In a much improved display, Llanfair couldn't hold onto to a 2-0 lead as Holywell fightback somewhat controversially.
Llanfair took the lead through Paul Griffiths when he converted a penalty awarded for a clear handball after 25 minutes.
In the second half, Paul Griffiths made it two when he broke away and coolly slotted the ball home to double his tally and Llanfair's lead.
However, after 71 minutes, Jamie McDaid evaded the Llanfair backline and slotted the ball past Chris Brown.
Then, in the 78th minute, Holywell were awarded a penalty when the referee deemed that Joe Vaughan pulled down the Holywell centre half when it looked the other way around. Jamie McDaid stepped up to get his second and the equaliser.
Although the penalty was controversial, Holywell were unlucky not to score three times in the final moments but a great block by Steve Andrew, a clearance off the line by Matt Spencer and the post spared Llanfair defeat and they walked away with a point.
