Llanfair's hopes of escaping bottom 4 ended
The hope of finishing fifth from bottom, in order to avoid relegation completely is now over as Llanfair lost to Holywell and Penrhyncoch won.
In a close encounter at Halkyn Road, Llanfair started brightest but couldn't convert early chances, the best falling to James Davies who rounded the keeper, but his effort was blocked on the line.
In the 39th minute, Llanfair were made to pay for their missed chances when Holywell broke away and took the lead trough Thomas.
Straight after the break, in the 46th minute, thing got worse for Llanfair when Jamie McDaid put Holywell 2-0 up.
Llanfair were unlucky not to pull a goal back when James Davies was controversially ruled offside and his effort was ruled out before Ryan Davies rose highest from a corner to make it 2-1 in the 67th minute.
Llanfair couldn't find another and Penrhyncoch winning meant Llanfair can now only finish at best, 13th meaning they will await to hear the promotion/relegation decisions based on ground criteria of those coming up.
