Llanfair surrender two goal lead to draw
Two late Berriew goals denied Llanfair all three points in the first home game of the season
Llanfair opened the scoring just before half time when new young signing Llyr Griffiths lobbed former Llanfair keeper David Jones from a very tight angle, just off the touchline.
In the second half, early pressure from Llanfair resulted in a second goal. Josh Astley closed down a defensive error between David Jones and another former Llanfair player, Marc Jones and placed the ball into the empty net.
With ten minutes to go, Matt Mumford carried the ball into Llanfair's half and rifled a 30 yard strike into the net to spark wild celebrations from the visitors.
Only a few minutes later, it was Mumford again for Berriew, this time from a 20 yard free kick which deflected off the wall into the bottom corner.
Disappointing end to the game but it may prove to be a valuable point later in the season. Aberaeron next on Saturday, a home, 2.30pm kick off.
