Bad day at the office for the Reserves
A first half collapse resulted in a heavy defeat for the Reserves against an organised Forden
After a promising start, Forden took the lead when an 18th minute corner was rather controversially bundled in after a clear foul on the goalkeeper.
However, there was nothing controversial about what happened in the next 5 minutes. Firstly Brad Carr made it 2-0 with a neat finish before a long throw resulted in a third. To end a frantic and poor five minutes by Llanfair, Forden made it 4-0 when Ross Harris arrived unmarked at the back post to hammer the ball home.
Just before half time, Mike Henderson-Smith made it 5-0 to end a great first half for Forden but a very disappointing one for Llanfair.
Early in the second half, Llanfair were reduced to 10 men when Jamie Waldron was given his marching orders for violent conduct.
The game became rather flat afterwards and Llanfair held it at five until the final few minutes when another corner was headed in at the back post.
A very disappointing display for a lot of reasons by Llanfair but credit to Forden who did a professional job. Llangedwyn next week at home.
