Bad day at the office in local derby
Meifod got revenge for their 2-0 loss on Mount Field earlier in the season with an emphatic 6-1 win against a lackluster Reserve side
Meifod took the lead early in the first half courtesy of an own goal.
Meifod's goalkeeper was in fine form to keep Llanfair out on numerous occasions, and kept it 1-0 at half time.
They were 2-0 up early in the second half with a rather fortuitous goal as a Jared Pugh clearance hit Lewys Lewis in the face 25 yards out and carried into the goal.
Llanfair pulled a goal back through a Ross Lewis penalty after Ashley Davies was fouled.
Meifod then made it three and four with two shots from just inside the area which deflected into the net on both occasions.
A good finish by Phil Hughes after running through on goal made it 5-1 before the scoring ended at 6-1 late on with a finish from close range.
A disappointing loss but fair play to Meifod who more than deserved their win.
